I feel his toes stretching further and further down the length of me, bumping into my knees now.
His head takes up more space on my pillow every day, and I don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to do this.
Every morning, Jamie and I see the light come on down the hall, and hear jammied feet padding towards our room.
“Good morning!” he whisper/yells the way only a kid can.
Throwing a knee up onto the bed, he hoists himself, his blanket and his Blue Dog onto our bed and climbs in between us.
Again, I remember when he couldn’t make the climb himself, when he stood waiting for one of us to do the hoisting for him.
It’s the very best way to start the day, this every morning bit of cuddle time.
The three of us snuggled together, just talking, and loving, and being together.
It’s my favorite 15 minutes.
