Am I a Funny Girl?

Thursday #300 (!!!!!!!)

– Posted in: Kindergarten, Max's Sixth Year, Photography, The Max Chronicles, Thursdays

thursdayhandWhen I started this project, on Thursday #1, I never thought I’d stick with it this long. Now that we’re at the point Max reminds me it’s Thursday, and has input on what we do for the photos, I think we’ll be able to keep going for some time still.
I like to do little photo shoots when we hit milestone numbers; mostly 50s and 100s… it’s a good excuse to get out my big girl camera, and I love marking these big numbers with quality photos, and something a little different from the usual.

There are 300 stars on this paper.
thursdaystarsEach star a Thursday of Max’s life. Each star one week passed. You only get 940 Thursdays in childhood, and we’re nearly a third of the way through.

thursdayhandsomeThree hundred Thursdays.
Max likes to look at the collage I have of his first 100 Thursdays. It has helped him understand his earliest days, when he was so sick and so tiny. He knows that Thursday #14 was his first Thursday at home, and that those first 13 weeks are just a tiny part of who he is now.

thursdayfingerstarsHe can count all the way to 300 now. It never fails to amaze me, these things he can do.
He asked if we can label all of the stars later, give them each a number, and that sounds like a perfectly lovely project for us to do.

And last, this is a bonus photo. He recently learned how to make a heart with his hands, and he uses it as his own portable mistletoe. If he puts his hands up like this, he’s looking for a kiss. Who am I to decline?

gosh, you’re so big and handsome Max. You’ve also grown up right alongside my twins and so you’re special to me (and your mommy is too) because I feel like we’re all doing this “growing up” together.

I love this 300th picture. Love that sweater and how long your hair has gotten, you look CALIFORNIAN and that’s sooooo cool.
